The DarkStar Group, a GRVTY Company is seeking an IT Ops Officer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Dulles, VA.  Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, and our benefits.

THE PROGRAM

The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community.  We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013.  We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.

The Role

• We are seeking an IT Ops Officer to join our engineering team in the Dulles region. This person will be responsible for working across the team enterprise to assist in the management, development, tracking, monitoring, and deployment of technical solutions to address documented requirements. This individual will work within a small, focused team to implement technical solutions to challenging problems. This role requires working autonomously to engage with internal team members as well as external vendors and ensure solutions are appropriate to the requirements.

Duties:

• Track/ Document/ Develop technical requirements
• Test/ Scale/ Deploy internally developed solutions
• Engage with external vendors to document current systems in order to understand risks
• Engage with external vendors to track technical requirements, validate documentation, assist with milestone management, and identify potential problems

· Demonstrate the following:

• Ability to assess emerging technologies, determine their impact on corporate systems and incorporate them into technical plans
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, determine course of action and act promptly and effectively when problems arise
• Maintain appropriate technical training to ensure skills are kept current with evolving technology

Required Skills   

• Experience working as part of a team to develop, manage, and document technical requirements
• Experience working as part of a team to develop, manage, and document technical requirements
• Experience working with external development vendors to track and validate requirements execution
• Experience with modern server operating systems and virtualization technologies
• Experience implementing customer IT and Cyber Security best practices
• Experience with commercial voice technologies (e.g., VOiP, PBX)
• Experience with SIP integration to PBX a plus
• Experience with Virtual Desktop technologies
• Experience with commercial cloud platforms
• Experience with networking and network security technologies
• Demonstrated experience with managing engineering projects (i.e., design, build, deploy)

Desired Skills (Optional)

• Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining networks
• Demonstrated understanding of Security monitoring and auditing
